My Heart Yearns For Thee

My heart yearns for thee
So pure and blue where those colors
When I looked into thine deepest sea
Like looking into those sapphire eyes of my love
My soul mate in life who now watches
Over me from the Heavens above
I am thankful he is there and cannot see
The pure blue of your sea, that you used to be, for
Is now a floating debris of multicolors
Which if they were painted onto a canvas
Would be a lovely picture indeed
But floating round and round upon your majestic rhythm
Thine ocean now, your colors of deepest sky blue sea
Are no more, for they now carry rainbows of the color
From plastic debris, which man has thrown at thee, that
Will forever be, never rot, that plastic of many colors,
Just continue to float round & round thee, it will be, yet then
To the Black death of the oil sludge that is
Slowly killing thee. What mankind has done
To thee, there is no forgiveness for his act.
For you to rise up and exact your vengeance
On those who have brought you such misery
Would be fair justice for many, many generations
To come, yet would that even begin to even the score.
Will we ever know in our lifetimes, or those of
Our children, grand children, great grand children
Or maybe not until the end of mankind, will there
begin to be a change back to the pure blue of your,
Oceans of deep sky blue deaths, to majestic turquoise
Of the coral reefs, that were meant to be crashing
Serenely from shore to shore, without the effects
Man has put on thee. Would you then smile again
So that we who will be hopefully in Heaven by then
can see that beautiful Thee just once, they way
God Meant For You To Be.
